While Ryan and Brett didn’t last, he appears to be keeping busy. Ryan wrote jokingly on one Instagram post, “I mean… let’s keep this energy going.” Ryan’s fans commented that they enjoyed his poker face and dry humor all season long. Ryan has posted not one but two mood boards to Instagram, cataloging his apathetic stare. The bad news is that Ryan didn’t find love, but the good news is that social media has helped him to laugh while looking back.

He’s also taking time to reflect on his less than enthusiastic attitude throughout season 13. Ryan is probably back on the apps, and actually chatting it up this time. When decision day rolled around, Brett and Ryan both seemed secure about choosing to go their separate ways. He admitted this was a mistake but emphasized that he did not talk to anyone while browsing online. Despite MAFS fans’ early optimism, Ryan didn’t seem committed to Brett. His tendency to beat around the bush came to a head when Brett found out that Ryan had matched with a friend of a friend on a dating app, a week ahead of the experiment’s end date. However, he couldn’t seem to bring himself to be entirely honest about this.

He was hesitant to disappoint Brett but never seemed very enthusiastic about her. While Brett felt she was making an effort, she didn’t think that her efforts were really resonating with Ryan. When it came to his marriage with Brett (a huge fan of Married at First Sight), the romance never took off.
